Young Andrew asks a party host on a date; She rejects it because of the age difference. Ten years later, Andrew's girlfriend, Maya, moved to Barcelona to finish her Fulbright program. Andrew's brother David invited him to a bar mitzvah. Andrew encourages the others to dance at the party. He meets Domino and her autistic daughter, Lola. Andrew's peers were spreading rumors about Domino's. Andrew introduced himself and managed to take Lola to the dance floor, surprised Domino. The moms at the party take notice of his cuteness and agree to appoint Andrew as the starter for the party at the upcoming mitzvahs bar. He calls himself Party Leader and plans to use the money to reunite Maya in Barcelona.

Andrew was removed from the role of DJ from his next party for confronting a kid who bullied Lola. He found a domino in the bathroom covered in blood. He finds her and Lola changes her clothes; Andrew leads them home. Domino tells Andrew that she has her fiancé Joseph working in Chicago. She reveals that the blood was not from her period but from a recent miscarriage. Domino hires Andrew as Lola's babysitter. They accept. Andrew later had sex with his friend Macy. Andrew spends the next day talking to and interviewing David for a job as an intern. Andrew meets Joseph at a party and then spends time with Domino and Lola. Andrew begins to believe that Maya is dating someone in Barcelona; His mother accompanies him. Andrew helps Lola fall asleep by rubbing her back, an activity she'd previously only let Dominoes do.
